About our Housing and Urban Development (HUD) news

Latest news on the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), one of the executive departments of the U.S. federal government that administers federal housing and urban development laws.

HUD was established in 1965 as part of the "Great Society" program of President Lyndon B. Johnson, to develop and execute policies on housing and metropolises. HUD is headed by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, who reports directly to the President of the United States and is a member of the president's Cabinet.
